The calculation formula of V-cone Flowmeter is the same as that of other differential pressure flow meters, but the unique design of its intercepting element forces the medium in the center of the pipeline to flow around the cone, which has many advantages compared with other differential pressure flow meters. We can understand the performance of cone flowmeter with the help of ideal velocity curve. The fluid in the pipeline is not interfered and obstructed, which is what we call the ideal flow state. Its velocity distribution is uniform, the velocity near the pipe wall is almost zero, the velocity in the center of the pipe reaches the maximum, and the velocity near the pipe wall is almost zero, which is caused by the friction force between the pipe wall and the medium. Because the cone is suspended in the center of the pipeline, it directly contacts with the high-speed region of the fluid, forcing the fluid in the high-speed region to mix with the fluid in the low-speed region near the pipe wall, thus homogenizing the velocity. Therefore, even if the flow rate is very low, the cone flowmeter can still make the fluid and the maximum flow rate in the center of the pipeline continuously act to produce the correct differential pressure.
現(xiàn)實中,流速很難分布均勻,管道上的任何變化都可能對流體造成影響,如:灣頭、閥門、縮徑、擴(kuò)徑、泵、三通等等,而錐形流量計利用錐體對上游的流速分布曲線重新進(jìn)行塑造,即使在極為惡劣的情況下,仍能保證測量精度。
